What will I be participating in?

The Muse and Mini Muse Experience schedules are different every year. There are always plenty of diverse dance classes offered with Director, Jessica Starr, Muse Dance Company faculty as well as guest choreographers based in Los Angeles, CA. Students will take part in rehearsals for PSA shoots and performances, professional photoshoots, LA dance agency auditions and other classes that will build their skillset towards being a professional performer. Every year, offers dancers new opportunities to challenge themselves and grow through new experiences such as community service, acting class, boxing, cross-fit, aerial class, trapeze, rock climbing, surfing, writing workshops and so much more!

Can parents attend?

The Mini Muse Experience allows for parents to decide if they want to stay with their dancer in Los Angeles or have them board in the community hotel with a MusEffect Mentor. The Mini Muse Experience parents that come to Los Angeles are invited to one open event on each day. These events typically include a dance class or a rehearsal for the video shoot.

The Muse Experience does not allow for parents to stay with their dancer in the hotel, as we believe growth in personal responsibility and independence in our day to day activities is just as important as development in the dance room.  All dancers will be paired up with MusEffect mentors for the duration of the Experience.

Can I miss a day of the Muse or Mini Muse Experience?

If accepted into either experience, dancers are required to be in attendance for every day in full in order to have fully immersed and impactful growth opportunity.

Can we get a schedule of events beforehand?

The specific schedule is kept under wraps until the first day of each experience. The Muse Experience dancers will receive their schedule during the first class with Director, Jessica Starr. The Mini Muse Experience dancers and parents will receive their schedule in the morning of the first day in the lobby of the hotel. We will review the schedule all together in order to maintain organization throughout participants and their families.
